Ein Game Jam bedeutet mit neuen Leuten oder Bekannten in kurzer Zeit einen Games-Prototypen zu entwickeln (meistens 48 Stunden). Es ist eine tolle Möglichkeit in die Spieleentwicklung rein zu schnuppern.
Natürlich muss man zur Spiele-Entwicklung programmieren und Grafiken erstellen aber es gibt auch viele andere Disziplinen, die in der Spieleentwicklung relevant sind. Hierzu zählen Level Design, Sound Design oder das Texten. Und keine Sorge: Der Franken Game Jam ist kein Wettbewerb.
Es geht darum, gleichgesinnte, coole Leute zu treffen und ein Wochenende lang kreativ zu sein! Etwas zu lernen ist dabei ein unvermeidbarer Nebeneffekt.
A game jam means developing a game prototype in a short amount of time (usually 48 hours) with people you just got to know! It’s a great opportunity to try any aspect of game development.
Of course, a game needs programming and visual design, but there are many other task as well, such as level design, sound design or writing. There is something to do for everyone! And don’t worry: Franken Game Jam is no competition.
It’s mostly about meeting a bunch of cool people and being creative for one weekend! Learning new skills is a nice and non-avoidable side effect!
